Visiting
The historic hermitages in Day Forest are hidden and accessible from outside, but many can only be viewed externally. Entry to the ruins is usually free, but caution is required.
Typical hours
As these are abandoned structures in the forest, there are no opening hours. The best time to visit is during the dry season (November to April) when trails are passable.
Photography
Photography is allowed, but the light conditions in the forest can be challenging. A tripod and wide-angle lens are recommended for shots in the dark ruins.

Plan about 1-2 hours for locating and viewing the hermitages. The trails are unmarked, so it may take longer to find them.

Getting there
