Harrachov is globally renowned for its 'Čerták' ski jumping ramps, including one of the few mammoth ramps in the world used for ski flying world championships. Set in the Mumlava valley, the town gives superb conditions for skiing and cross-country racing. Another significant draw is the 'Novosad & Son' glassworks, established in 1712, making it one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. Visitors can watch master glassblowers at work and tour the onsite glass museum. Nature lovers should visit the Mumlava waterfall, which is particularly powerful during the spring thaw. The trail to the waterfall is gentle and suitable for families with strollers. Harrachov is an excellent starting point for hiking trips into the western Krkonoše mountains. The town also features a unique brewery located right next to the glassworks. This blend of sporting legacy and artisanal tradition makes Harrachov a distinctive destination for active and cultural travelers. It is well-connected by both train and bus services.
