Umljanović is located in the Ružić municipality in Šibenik-Knin County. The village is situated on the edge of Petrovo Polje, a fertile plain between the Svilaja and Promina mountains. The area is of great archaeological importance, as the remains of the Roman Municipium Magnum (Balina Glavica) are located here. Artifacts from this period can be admired today in regional museums. The landscape is characterized by wide fields traditionally used for viticulture and agriculture.
