Grebaštica is located about 15 km south of Šibenik in one of the region's best-sheltered bays. The settlement is divided into Gornja Grebaštica on the hill and Donja Grebaštica on the coast. The most prominent historical monument is the 'Bedem' defensive wall on the Oštrica peninsula. Built in 1497 to protect the local population from Ottoman attacks, this wall stands about 10 meters high. It stretches across the entire width of the peninsula and is a rare example of preserved medieval coastal fortifications. The bay provides numerous pebble beaches with shallow water, well-suited for families with children. The surroundings are lined with pine forests and olive groves, providing natural shade and pleasant Mediterranean scents. Active visitors can hike up Jelinjak hill for spectacular views of the Šibenik channel and the Primošten archipelago. The village is also famous for its natural fresh water springs, which have been used since Roman times. Culturally, the churches of St. Mary and St. Peter are significant, with medieval tombstones (stećci) found in their vicinity. Grebaštica has maintained its authentic character while providing all necessary tourist facilities today, such as campsites, restaurants, and private apartments. It is a great destination for travelers seeking a mix of historical heritage and a relaxed nature holiday.
