Čikat

Čikat Bay, located on the island of Lošinj, is one of the most picturesque and renowned coastal areas in the Kvarner region. It is distinguished by its crystal-clear, emerald-green waters and the dense, fragrant pine forest that surrounds the bay. This forest was planted at the end of the 19th century by the local botanist Ambroz Haračić and provides the area with a unique microclimate that is particularly beneficial for the respiratory system and overall health.

At the heart of the bay lies a sandy beach, which is somewhat of a rarity in Croatia and extremely popular with families with young children. Surrounding the central sandy cove are rocky sections and well-maintained paved terraces that are ideal for sunbathing and relaxing. The majestic Austro-Hungarian villas and luxury boutique hotels lining the promenade bear witness to the long and proud tradition of health tourism in this beautiful region.

A visit to Čikat Bay offers the perfect combination of untouched nature, historical charm, and modern comfort. Whether you want to spend relaxing hours on the shallow sandy beach, walk in the cooling shade of the centuries-old pines, or take advantage of the numerous water sports available on the water, this place truly has something special for everyone. The idyllic atmosphere and the magnificent evening sunsets make Čikat an unforgettable holiday experience on the Croatian Adriatic.
