- It hosts the only designated naturist beach on the Belgian coast, clearly marked and located at the foot of the dune.
- Rent a bike to explore the paved coastal cycling paths that connect seamlessly to neighboring Ostend.
- Parking is mostly concentrated at the edge of the dune reserves; arrive early on sunny summer days.

Water temperature…
Bredene differs fundamentally from all other Belgian coastal towns because it lacks an artificial concrete promenade (sea wall). Instead, the dunes transition directly into the wide sandy beach, giving the town a very natural and open feel. Another unique feature is Belgium's only official nudist beach, located discreetly within a section of the dune landscape. The municipality is also known as the "camping capital" of the coast, with over 30 campsites attracting visitors from across Europe. The "Paelsteenpanne" nature reserve features rare plant species and is a paradise for hikers. In summer, the MEC Staf Versluys cultural center hosts numerous events and concerts. For water sports enthusiasts, Bredene's wind conditions make it a popular spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The town is centrally located between Ostend and De Haan, making both cities easily accessible via the coastal tram. The best time to visit is from June to August for campers and nature lovers who want to enjoy the unspoiled dune landscape.
