Known as the "municipality of parks," Brasschaat is famous for its extensive woodland areas, magnificent avenues, and luxury villa neighborhoods, which traditionally attract wealthy Antwerp citizens as a place of residence. The absolute centerpiece of the town is the Peerdsbos, a majestic castle park surrounding the grand Brasschaat Castle (Kasteel van Brasschaat), which is today a popular center for culture and gastronomy. Another significant natural and recreational area is De Inslag, good for walks and relaxation.
