St. Casimir Church in Lepiel is an outstanding example of late 19th-century Neoclassical religious architecture in Belarus. The current brick structure was erected in 1876 on the foundations of an older wooden church that had been founded in 1602 by the Lithuanian Chancellor Lew Sapieha. The architecture is characterized by clean lines, a symmetrical facade design, and a prominent tower that dominates the Lepiel skyline. During the Soviet era, the church was closed and repurposed for secular use, resulting in significant damage to its interior fittings. It was not until the 1990s that the building was returned to the Catholic community and underwent extensive restoration. Today, St. Casimir Church once again serves as a spiritual center for the region's faithful and attracts many visitors due to its historical significance and aesthetic simplicity. The interior houses several restored altars and religious artifacts that symbolize the endurance of faith in the region despite historical upheavals.
