📋 Practical info

📅
Best season
Spring and early autumn are typically the best seasons to visit the Greater Caucasus for wildlife viewing, as the weather is milder and animals are more active before the harsh winter sets in.
🌅
Best time of day
Early morning and late afternoon are generally the optimal times of day to spot wildlife in these mountainous reserves, as many species seek shelter during the warmer midday hours.
📜
Etiquette
Visitors must stick strictly to designated trails to protect the fragile subalpine ecosystems and avoid disturbing the local fauna. Feeding any wild animals you might encounter is strictly prohibited.
🎒
What to bring
Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots are highly recommended for the uneven mountain terrain. Bringing a good pair of binoculars is also essential for observing wildlife from a safe and respectful distance.
