Cerro Catedral is the most important and complete winter sports center in Argentina and the Southern Hemisphere, located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, near Bariloche. Its name comes from the granite towers that crown its summit, resembling the spires of a Gothic cathedral. The mountain has a massive infrastructure with over 120 kilometers of slopes for all skill levels and state-of-the-art cable car systems. Beyond skiing and snowboarding, Cerro Catedral provides wide-open landscapes of the Andean lakes and excellent trekking trails in summer. Its base is an animated small alpine village with hotels, restaurants, and ski schools, making this mountain the pulsating heart of winter tourism in South America.
