Typical hours
The bustling bathing areas generally operate from early morning until late in the afternoon, and it is very common for there to be strictly separated bathing times or completely distinct pools designated exclusively for men and women.
Photography
Photographing the striking limestone terraces from a reasonable distance is visually very rewarding; however, out of deep respect for absolute privacy, photography pointed directly at the active bathing pools should be completely avoided.
Time needed
A typical relaxing visit lasts about one to two hours, which provides more than ample time to enjoy a therapeutic soak in the hot springs and leisurely observe the highly unusual geological formations of the beautiful surrounding area.

Getting there
The often tiring journey is best undertaken via private transport or a hired taxi from Khorog, as the steep mountainous road conditions are highly variable and local public bus connections are very frequently completely unreliable.

Make absolutely sure to bring your own large towel and all essential bathing supplies with you, as the on-site facilities are truly extremely basic and there are virtually no reliable options whatsoever for renting any vital accessories there.
