Bender Qassim (Bosaso Old Town)

Bender Qassim, now known as Bosaso, is a historic port city located on the Gulf of Aden coast in the Bari region of northeastern Somalia. The historical core, known as the Old Town of Bender Qassim, bears witness to a maritime tradition that stretches back to at least the 14th century. The city's architecture and layout reflect the influence of the Majerteen Sultanate, which governed the area for centuries and established it as a major commercial hub.
