Weather…

Fruška Gora is an isolated mountain range situated in the Pannonian Plain of northern Serbia, renowned for its rich historical and natural heritage. In 1960, it became the first National Park in Serbia, established to protect its vast forests and rare wildlife species. Geographically, the ridge stretches along the right bank of the Danube River, with its highest point being Crveni Čot at an elevation of 539 meters. Often referred to as the 'Serbian Mount Athos', Fruška Gora is home to 16 active Serbian Orthodox monasteries built between the 15th and 18th centuries. These religious sites are exceptional examples of Baroque and Renaissance architecture and hagiographic painting. The region is also a prestigious wine-growing area, with a tradition of viticulture that dates back to Roman times. The fertile soils and favorable microclimate produce unique local wines, such as the aromatic Bermet. Economically, the mountain serves as a vital recreational area for visitors from nearby Belgrade and Novi Sad. Nature enthusiasts are drawn to its extensive trail network and the impressive variety of wild orchid species found in the park.
