Drenas, also known as Glogovac, is a municipality in central Kosovo, in the geographical heart of the Drenica region. This area is known for its hilly landscape and its historical importance to the Kosovan identity. The town itself is a local administrative and commercial centre. The surrounding area is largely rural, offering an authentic experience of rural life in Kosovo. Getting to Drenas is best done by road. The town is located on a main road that connects it with the capital Pristina to the east and Peja to the west.
