The Kigali Pony Club is a unique recreational facility in the capital, offering children and adults the opportunity to learn to ride and build a relationship with horses. In a city where horses are not commonplace, the club provides a rare opportunity for equestrian enthusiasts. The club has well-trained ponies and horses suitable for riders of all levels. It has riding lessons, guided trail rides in the surrounding countryside, and pony rides for the youngest visitors. Besides riding, the club also places great emphasis on the proper care and handling of the animals. It is a place where children can learn responsibility, patience, and love for animals while engaging in a sporting activity. The Pony Club is also a social meeting point for expatriate and local families.
