Hsipaw

The most spectacular way to reach Hsipaw is by train from Pyin Oo Lwin, crossing the famous Goteik Viaduct, once one of the highest railway trestles in the world. Alternatively, bus services run regularly from Mandalay. The best time to visit is from November to February, when the weather is dry and cool. The hot season from March to May sees nature in bloom, while the monsoon from June to October can make trails muddy but turns the hills into a lush, animated green paradise.
