Vang Vieng Organic Farm

The Vang Vieng Organic Farm was founded in the 1990s and was a pioneering project for sustainable organic farming in Laos. It is picturesquely located on the Nam Song River and successfully grows mulberry trees, whose leaves are processed into tea. In addition to mulberries, the farm produces tropical fruits, vegetables, and fresh goat cheese. The facility aims to combine traditional agricultural methods with modern ecological standards without resorting to chemical pesticides. It has training programs for Laotian farmers to teach techniques such as composting and natural pest control. Volunteers from all over the world work in the fields and contribute to intercultural exchange. The farm's proceeds support local school projects and fund scholarships for children from disadvantaged families.
