The Ram Raja Temple is unique, as Lord Rama is worshiped here as a reigning king rather than just a deity. Nature lovers enjoy the Betwa River for rafting tours and the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding forests. The interior walls of many temples are adorned with colorful Bundela paintings. Local gastronomy gives authentic Central Indian flavors in a relaxed setting. Orchha is located near Jhansi and is easily accessible by train.
