Taj Mahal (India)

Weather…

The Taj Mahal in Agra is India's most iconic landmark and a supreme masterpiece of Mughal architecture. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and was completed around 1653. Built entirely of ivory-white marble, the structure is celebrated for its flawless symmetry and intricate floral motifs rendered in semi-precious stone inlays known as Pietra Dura. An estimated 20,000 artisans from across Asia were employed in its construction, which harmoniously blends Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural traditions. The mausoleum is situated within a 42-acre complex featuring a classic Charbagh garden divided by reflecting pools. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, the Taj Mahal is also recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, standing as an enduring symbol of love and artistic excellence.
