Hundige is a prominent suburb located within the Greve Municipality, approximately 20 kilometers south of central Copenhagen. The area is best known for housing Waves, formerly known as Hundige Storcenter, which is one of the largest shopping malls in Denmark with over 150 stores and various leisure facilities. The development of Hundige was largely shaped by the ambitious urban planning projects of the 1960s and 70s, which aimed to create modern high-density housing integrated with commercial and transport hubs. Hundige Church, a modern structure completed in 1976, is an architectural landmark in the district, known for its distinctive use of concrete and wood. The area is also home to the Hundige Marina, which provides access to the Køge Bay and supports a range of maritime activities and local sailing clubs. Transport is facilitated by the Hundige S-train station, which serves as a major terminal for commuters traveling to the capital.
