Greve Strand is a significant suburban coastal town located south of Copenhagen along the Køge Bay. The area began its major development in the 1960s and 1970s as part of the Finger Plan for Copenhagen's urban expansion, turning former farmland and summer cottages into a dense residential hub. One of the most important historical sites in the vicinity is Mosede Fort, which was part of Copenhagen's coastal defense during World War I and now serves as a museum dedicated to that era. The beach itself stretches for approximately eight kilometers and is known for its fine white sand and clear water, attracting visitors from across the region during the summer months. Greve Strand is also home to a variety of sports facilities and local shopping centers, making it a self-sufficient community with excellent transport links via the E20 motorway and the S-train line.
