Lipno nad Vltavou has evolved from a small settlement into the most modern year-round resort in the Czech Republic. It is situated on the Lipno Reservoir, often called the 'Bohemian Sea,' which provides good conditions for sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing during summer. The town's standout attraction is the Treetop Walkway (Stezka korunami stromů), a 675-meter-long wooden structure culminating in a 40-meter observation tower with panoramic views of the Bohemian Forest and the lake. In winter, the area transforms into the family-oriented Kramolín ski resort. A unique highlight is ice skating on the frozen reservoir, which, in suitable weather, hosts one of the world's longest prepared natural ice tracks. A dedicated cycling and inline skating path runs along the shoreline, connecting various leisure facilities like the Aquapark and the 'Kingdom of the Forest' adventure park. Marina Lipno features numerous lakeside restaurants and cafes. Lipno is a convenient destination for active travelers seeking a blend of comfort and outdoor adventure.
