Ba Vì National Park (Vietnam)

Weather…

Ba Vi National Park spans an area of approximately 10,815 hectares within the Ba Vi mountain range, located about 60 kilometers west of Hanoi. The protected area encompasses three prominent peaks: Dinh Vua at 1,296 meters, Tan Vien at 1,281 meters, and Ngoc Hoa at 1,131 meters. Due to the varying altitudes, the park hosts a diverse array of flora and fauna, including over 1,200 species of vascular plants and numerous rare animal species. Historically, the region is noted for the ruins of a French hill station dating from the colonial era, remnants of which can still be found within the dense forest today. The climatic conditions are significantly cooler than in the lowlands, encouraging the development of subtropical rainforest. The park plays a critical role in protecting the watershed for surrounding provinces and serves as an important research center for Northern Vietnam's biodiversity.
