Antalya, often referred to as the 'Gateway to the Turkish Riviera', is one of the world's most visited cities and a true gem of the Mediterranean. The city fuses ancient history with modern tourist luxury. Its historic old town, Kaleiçi, characterized by narrow cobblestone streets and Ottoman-era mansions, is accessed through the imposing Hadrian's Gate, built in 130 AD to honor the Roman emperor's visit. Located between the majestic Taurus Mountains and the turquoise sea, Antalya features a striking natural backdrop complemented by the dramatic Düden Waterfalls. Once the center of the ancient regions of Pamphylia and Lycia, the surrounding area is home to numerous archaeological sites such as Perge and Aspendos. Today, Antalya is not only a vacation paradise but also a significant economic hub with a modern port and a thriving agricultural sector, particularly in greenhouse farming. Its mild climate and world-class infrastructure make it an attractive year-round destination.
