Ko Kood
Ko Kood is often referred to as the 'Maldives of Thailand' due to its pristine nature and incredibly clear waters. It remains one of the least developed islands in the country, offering a serene escape from mass tourism. There are no noisy jet skis or bustling nightlife here, only palm-fringed bays and the rhythmic sound of waves hitting the white sandy shores. Natural highlights include the multi-tiered Klong Chao Waterfall and the ancient Makka trees hidden in the jungle. Visitors can explore the traditional fishing village of Ao Salad or paddle through lush mangrove forests in a kayak. The island's food scene focuses on fresh, local catches prepared with traditional spices. The best time to visit is during the dry season from November to March. Ko Kood is the excellent destination for couples and travelers seeking a quiet, eco-friendly retreat.
