Port of Taipei (Taiwan)

Weather…

The Port of Taipei is situated in the Bali District of New Taipei City and stands as Taiwan's newest international commercial port. It was originally established to relieve the logistical pressure on the geographically constrained Keelung Port and to serve as a strategic gateway for Northern Taiwan. Development began in the 1990s, with a specific focus on handling next-generation container vessels and serving as a primary hub for automobile imports and exports. The port's flagship container terminal commenced operations in 2009, featuring high levels of automation and significant transit capacity. Its strategic location near the Taipei metropolitan area, combined with excellent expressway connectivity, has enabled the port to rapidly become a premier logistics center. In addition to containers, the port manages bulk cargo and petroleum products. Ongoing expansion projects are a key part of the government's strategy to enhance Taiwan's maritime competitiveness within the Asia-Pacific region.
