Hünenberg is located in the Canton of Zug, stretching between Lake Zug and the Reuss River. The municipality consists of two main parts, Hünenberg Dorf and Hünenberg See, each of which has preserved its own character. While the village part is more rural, characterized by historic buildings and agricultural farms, the lakeside area has developed into a modern residential and economic center. Hünenberg is part of the economically strong Zug region and houses the Bösch Business Park, where numerous high-tech and service companies are located. Despite its economic importance, the municipality places great value on nature conservation, evident in the well-maintained shores of Lake Zug and the recreation areas along the Reuss. Culturally, Hünenberg is best known for the Zytheli, a traditional festival linked to local customs. The municipality's infrastructure is excellently developed, with modern schools, sports facilities, and efficient public transport connections towards Zug and Zurich. Historically interesting are the ruins of Hünenberg Castle, recalling the town's medieval significance. The high quality of life, low taxes, and idyllic location between the lake and mountains make Hünenberg one of the most sought-after residential locations in Central Switzerland for families and entrepreneurs alike.
