Puerto del Rosario is the capital and largest city of the Canary Island of Fuerteventura. Originally known as Puerto de Cabras (Goat Harbor), it was renamed in the 19th century and quickly developed into the island's main port and administrative center. Today, it is a bustling city, often the first point of contact for visitors arriving by ferry or plane, as Fuerteventura's international airport (FUE) is located just a few kilometers to the south. The city itself is distinguished by an open-air sculpture park, with over one hundred works of art distributed throughout the streets and along the promenade.
