  • Visit the local market, held every Tuesday and Saturday morning, for souvenirs and local handicrafts.

Caleta de Fuste, also known as El Castillo, is one of the most popular family-friendly resorts on Fuerteventura. The horseshoe-shaped bay has a wide sandy beach with very calm and shallow waters, as it is protected by piers from the Atlantic swell. This makes it handy for children and snorkeling. The town's landmark is the 'Torre de San Buenaventura', a small 18th-century fortification tower that once served as protection against pirates. The resort features a modern marina from which boat trips and diving excursions depart. A highlight for visitors is feeding the ground squirrels that live in the rocks along the coast. The flat terrain invites walks on the long promenade, which leads to nearby shopping centers and cinemas. For active holidaymakers, Caleta de Fuste provides two excellent 18-hole golf courses that have hosted international tournaments. Its central location on the island makes the resort the excellent starting point for exploring both the dunes of Corralejo in the north and the wild south. Fuerteventura Airport is only about 10 kilometers away, guaranteeing a very short transfer time.
