San Isidro belongs to the municipality of Granadilla de Abona and is one of the most dynamic towns in southern Tenerife. Originally a small settlement, San Isidro has developed into an important residential and commercial center, offering all modern amenities. Its location right on the TF-1 motorway and its immediate proximity to Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofía) make the town particularly attractive for travelers and commuters. Just a few kilometers away is El Médano, a world-renowned spot for wind and kitesurfing, for which San Isidro acts as the functional hinterland. The town itself gives numerous shopping centers, local markets, and a wide range of gastronomic establishments where you can try Canarian specialties like 'Papas Arrugadas'. Unlike purely tourist resorts, here you experience the authentic everyday life of the islanders. The climate is sunny and mild year-round, making San Isidro visitable at any time. The town serves as an excellent starting point for excursions to Teide National Park or the easy on the eye mountain villages of Granadilla. Thanks to the well-developed bus network (TITSA), exploring the entire island is easily possible from here.
