Water temperature…
Pyoseon-ri is located in the southeast of Jeju Island and is home to one of Korea's most unique beaches, Pyoseon Beach. At low tide, the beach transforms into a vast, circular sandy flat, good for families as the water remains very shallow. In addition to the main beach, Sogeummak (소금막해변) and Gaetneup (갯늪) offer quieter alternatives with distinctive black lava rocks typical of Jeju's geology. A cultural highlight is the adjacent Jeju Folk Village, where visitors can experience the traditional architecture and lifestyle of the islanders from the 19th century. The area is famous for its Haenyeo (female divers), whose fresh catches are served in local restaurants. The expansive lawns surrounding the beach are often used for festivals and cultural events. Access is convenient by bus or rental car from Jeju Airport. Pyoseon-ri features a relaxed atmosphere compared to the busier cities in the north. The combination of wide sand, volcanic rocks, and rich tradition makes this place for any Jeju traveler. It is the first-rate spot to watch the sunrise over the East Sea.
