Gwakji-ri is located on the northwestern coast of Jeju Island and has a vast sandy bay that is particularly popular among local residents. The village maintains a peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere. Its main attraction is the natural phenomenon of fresh spring water emerging directly on the beach. Gwakji Gwamul Beach (곽지과물) features a traditional open-air bath where ice-cold spring water is used for refreshing after a swim in the ocean. The beach is wide with a gentle slope, making it exceptionally safe for children. The Gwakji Beach Campsite (곽지해수욕장야영장) provides excellent facilities for those looking to stay overnight in nature. The area is part of the scenic Aewol Coastal Road, one of Korea's most beautiful drives. Visitors can find numerous cozy cafes along the shore offering local delicacies like Hanrabong citrus drinks. Gastronomy here revolves around fresh seafood, with octopus and abalone being local specialties.
