Argyle International Airport
Opened in February 2017, Argyle International Airport stands as the most significant infrastructure development in the history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Representing a national investment of approximately 259 million USD, the project was designed to grant the island direct access to global tourism markets, removing the need for regional connections. The airport features a 2,743-meter runway, which for the first time allows long-haul aircraft from North America and Europe to land directly on mainland St. Vincent. A standout feature of the facility is its dedicated solar farm, reflecting a strategic shift toward sustainable energy infrastructure in the Caribbean. Beyond boosting the hospitality sector, the airport has fundamentally transformed the local economy by enhancing export capabilities for fresh agricultural goods. As the primary gateway to the Grenadines, Argyle International Airport symbolizes a new era of connectivity and economic ambition, positioning the nation as a competitive and modern destination in the 21st-century global landscape.
