Cristuru Secuiesc is a historic town in Harghita County, situated in the eastern part of Transylvania within the Szeklerland region. Located in the Târnava Mare River valley, the town has served as a key economic and educational hub for the surrounding area since the Middle Ages. Its history is documented back to 1333, and it has long been a center of religious and cultural diversity, home to significant Catholic, Reformed, and Unitarian communities.
