Rogalin Palace (Poland)

Weather…

Rogalin Palace is a magnificent residence of the Raczyński family, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. This Baroque-Classicist building was commissioned by Kazimierz Raczyński and constructed in the second half of the 18th century. The central palace building is linked to two side wings via elegant semi-circular galleries, creating a harmonious architectural ensemble. Inside, it houses a prestigious art gallery founded by Edward Aleksander Raczyński in the early 20th century, featuring works by renowned Polish and European painters. The estate is surrounded by a French-style Baroque garden and a vast landscape park, famous for its ancient oak trees. The most celebrated oaks, named Lech, Czech, and Rus, are over 700 years old. Near the palace stands the Raczyński family mausoleum, which was modeled after the ancient Roman temple Maison Carrée in Nîmes.
