The castle's courtyard, with its elegant tiered arcades, closely mirrors the Royal Wawel Castle in Kraków, reflecting the high cultural status of the Silesian Piast dynasty. Brzeg Castle now houses the Museum of the Piasts, showing the history of Silesian dukes. The interiors are accessible, the courtyard and facade with sgraffito are free to view.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 AM-5 PM, closed on Monday. Last entry at 4 PM.
