San Agustin Church (Manila) (Philippines)

Weather…

San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila, is the oldest stone church in the Philippines and a jewel of the UNESCO World Heritage. Completed in 1607, it is the only original structure in Intramuros to have survived the massive destruction of Manila in 1945 almost intact. The church is renowned for its spectacular Baroque interior, dominated by 'trompe l'oeil' murals that create a remarkable three-dimensional illusion on the ceilings and walls. It houses the tombs of major historical figures, including the founder of Manila, Miguel López de Legazpi. San Agustin is a sanctuary of eternal peace and beauty, a witness to over four centuries of tumultuous history.
