Getting there
This remote atoll situated north of Kayangel is accessible exclusively by sea. Booking a guided boat charter originating from Koror is absolutely necessary.
Best season
The generally calmer ocean conditions from February to April make the boat crossing easier. During stormy weather, trips to the reserve are often cancelled.
Terrain & paths
The reserve is composed almost entirely of water, thriving reefs, and a tiny sandbank. Going ashore is rare, with activities mainly taking place in the water.
What to bring
High-quality snorkeling equipment and reef-safe sunscreen are indispensable here. Bring plentiful drinking water and snacks for the lengthy boat journey.
Parking
Vehicles remain parked safely at the respective departure marinas in Koror or Kayangel. From there, the multi-hour sea crossing to the atoll commences.
