  • A walk along the 7 km long Pet Danica promenade takes you straight into the old town of Herceg Novi.
  • The water in Igalo Bay is very shallow; you have to walk in a long way to be able to swim properly.
  • Many of the beaches are concrete; bring a thick mat if you don't want to rent a sunbed.

Located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, Igalo is a recognized health resort due to its mild microclimate and therapeutic sea mud. The settlement is directly connected to Herceg Novi by the 7-kilometer Pet Danica coastal promenade. The Igalo Institute has provided musculoskeletal rehabilitation treatments using the local, slightly radioactive sea mud since the 1940s. The shallow, sandy shoreline makes it a practical bathing spot for families with young children. Josip Broz Tito's former residence, Villa Galeb, is also located here and is partially open to the public.
