Getting there
The valley is excellently accessible via local access roads branching off from the main southern regional routes. Numerous small agricultural trails provide very convenient and perfectly quiet entry points directly into the gentle floodplain.
Best season
The blooming spring and the beautifully colorful harvest-time autumn truly highlight the valley's inherent agricultural beauty. Summer gracefully has long, wonderfully warm evenings that are completely excellent for deeply peaceful walks.
Terrain & paths
Expect primarily a widely spread, very flat floodplain terrain out here with only extremely mild, barely noticeable physical undulations. The main routes consist predominantly of solid dirt tracks and blissfully quiet, paved country lanes.
What to bring
Lightweight hiking shoes or sturdy, genuinely comfortable sneakers are perfectly excellent for walking the soft valley floor. Good sun protection is highly recommended, as the expansive, open agricultural fields provide almost zero natural shade.
Parking
Visitors are best advised to park their vehicles in the officially designated spaces of the small, adjacent towns. Direct roadside parking should absolutely be avoided at all times to continually keep all important agricultural access paths perfectly clear.
Safety
This particular rural environment is extremely tranquil and wonderfully safe for general, perfectly relaxed walking. Do, however, pay careful attention to occasionally crossing agricultural vehicles actively operating in the farmed areas during the day.
Time needed
A thorough exploration of the beautifully easy on the eye, gentle floodplain landscape and its small wetlands usually takes about two to three hours. The valley genuinely represents an excellent, top-tier destination for a totally carefree afternoon outing.
