💡 Tips
- Nerano is famous for its pebble beaches; bringing water shoes will make getting in and out of the sea much more comfortable.
- The main beach area (Marina del Cantone) gets very busy in July and August; arrive by 9 AM to secure parking and a sunbed.
- Consider taking a boat taxi to reach secluded coves like Baia di Ieranto that are difficult to access by land.
- The winding roads leading to the village are narrow and scenic; drive cautiously and be prepared to reverse for buses.
- Dining here often comes with a premium price tag, but the seaside atmosphere and quality are exceptional.

Nerano is a jewel on the Amalfi Coast, located at the far end of the Sorrento Peninsula. The village is known far beyond national borders for its exceptional culinary tradition, especially the 'Spaghetti alla Nerano' with zucchini and Provolone del Monaco. The place exudes an exclusive yet relaxed atmosphere that has attracted the jet set and gourmets alike for decades. The steep slopes are covered with lemon groves and Mediterranean macchia. The coast of Nerano provides spectacular swimming opportunities, including the Spiaggia di Capitiello. This beach is a smaller, often less visited section near the better-known Marina del Cantone. It is characterized by its signature pebbles and deep blue, clean water. The rocky surroundings provide excellent conditions for snorkeling and exploring small sea caves. Aside from beach life, Nerano is a well-suited starting point for hikes. The famous path to Baia di Ieranto features dramatic views of Capri and the Faraglioni rocks. Access is mostly via winding roads from Sorrento or Massa Lubrense, which underlines the exclusivity of the place. In summer, the village is also easily accessible by boat from Positano or Capri.
