Rubane Island
Rubane is often considered the most beautiful island in the Bijagós Archipelago. It is a sanctuary for travelers seeking luxury in harmony with nature. The island gives some of the best accommodations in the region, seamlessly integrated into the tropical forest and coastal landscape. The beaches are lined with crystal-clear water and shady palms, convenient for swimming and relaxation. For active travelers, Rubane is a world-renowned sport fishing destination, with massive rays and tarpons inhabiting its waters. Culinarily, the island treats visitors to freshly caught oysters and grilled fish, often served right on the beach. The island is relatively small and can easily be explored on foot or by boat. Being close to the larger island of Bubaque, transfers are straightforward. The good travel period is between December and May when the weather is dry and sunny. Rubane is the epitome of a tropical paradise without the crowds.
