Maio Island

Maio Island (not to be confused with the Cape Verdean island) is a pristine gem on the eastern edge of the Bijagós Archipelago. The island is primarily known as one of West Africa's most important nesting sites for green sea turtles. Due to its remoteness, the island is barely inhabited and has a raw, original nature experience.
