Mount Olympus National Park was established in 1938 as the first national park in Greece, encompassing the country's highest mountain range. Getting there
Access to the national park is most commonly initiated from the town of Litochoro at the eastern foothills. From there, winding mountain roads lead directly to the primary trailheads like Prionia.
Best season
The most popular and safest time to visit is during the summer months, from June to September, when most snow has melted. Spring and autumn are also beautiful but require preparation for sudden cold.

The park encompasses deep ravines, thick forests, and highly challenging, steep rocky slopes at higher altitudes. Lower trails are moderately difficult, while summit routes require serious scrambling.
