Located deep within the Ogooué-Lolo province, reaching this remote peak is a significant logistical undertaking. Access involves long drives on rough logging roads and requires the assistance of experienced local guides.

The relatively drier months between June and September are the most practical for an expedition. During the heavy rainy seasons, the dirt roads become impassable mud and the jungle trails become dangerously slick.

The environment consists of dense, primary equatorial rainforest covering steep, unforgiving inclines. Hikers must navigate thick undergrowth, fallen trees, and muddy, slippery slopes with virtually no established trails.
