Aubevoye is a strategically located commune in the Eure department of the Normandy region. The town is situated on the left bank of the Seine, about 90 kilometers northwest of Paris. Historically, Aubevoye was closely linked to neighboring Gaillon, as it hosted significant religious institutions such as the Carthusian monastery of Bourbon-lez-Gaillon, founded in the 16th century by Cardinal de Bourbon. The town's architecture reflects the typical Norman style, featuring timber-framed houses and buildings crafted from local limestone. Geographically, the town has benefited from the fertile floodplains of the Seine, which encouraged agriculture and later industrial development. Today, Aubevoye is a modern residential area with excellent rail connections to Paris and Rouen, while still maintaining its historical character and natural scenic beauty.
