Located just north of Nancy along the winding Meurthe river, Maxéville seamlessly blends its rich industrial past with animated modern culture. Once famous for the massive Brasseries de Maxéville, which exported local beer far and wide, the town retains subtle architectural nods to its brewing heritage. Today, it is best known among travelers and locals alike as the home of the Zénith de Nancy, a massive open-air and indoor amphitheater that hosts major international concerts and cultural events throughout the year. Nature lovers will appreciate the extensive forested areas bordering the town, particularly the trails leading up into the Haye forest, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and cycling. The historic Haut-de-Chèvre area reveals welcoming older streets, while the nearby Canal de la Marne au Rhin provides a scenic setting for leisurely afternoon walks. Maxéville serves as a peaceful yet culturally active base for exploring the Art Nouveau wonders of Nancy while enjoying a more relaxed, suburban rhythm.
