The third component, a Latin chapel, was added in the 15th century, reflecting the island's complex cultural history. The monastery houses exceptionally well-preserved frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Christ and Saint John Lampadistis. Visitors can also venerate the silver shrine containing the saint's relics, to which healing powers have long been attributed.
