Paljuv is located in the municipality of Novigrad in Northern Dalmatia, right on the shores of the Novigrad Sea. The village is known for its fertile soil, where excellent olive oil and wine have been produced for generations. Its geographical location between the sea and the mighty Velebit mountain range provides a unique microclimate and scenic scenery. The beaches on the Novigrad Sea are often less crowded than those on the open Adriatic, and the water is slightly less salty due to the Zrmanja River inflows. Paljuv serves as an excellent base for excursions to the Zrmanja Canyon, famous as the filming location for Winnetou movies. Historically, the region is rich in remains from the era of Croatian kings. Local cuisine has specialties from both the sea and the Velebit hinterland. The A1 motorway is just a few kilometers away, making Zadar or Paklenica National Park easily accessible.
