Posedarje is located on the northern shores of the Novigrad Sea, about 25 km northeast of Zadar. The town is home to a long tradition of fishing and agriculture, particularly the cultivation of figs and olives. A unique feature of the area is the therapeutic mud found in the bay, known for its benefits in treating rheumatic conditions. The town's landmark is the tiny Church of the Holy Spirit, situated on a small islet in the bay, accessible by foot through shallow water. Posedarje is a favorite for families as its beaches are shallow and the sheltered waters are warmer than the open sea. Local gastronomy is celebrated for mussels and fish from the Novigrad Sea, as well as premium Dalmatian pršut (ham) cured in the dry Bura wind. Its proximity to the Velebit Mountains and the Maslenica Bridge gives excellent opportunities for nature excursions.
